Chapter Nine

Sinclair had no idea why he’d dragged Chrissy into the room. It was a big mistake, but he noticed how cute she was in her top and pants, her hair up in a messy bun with tendrils falling down and framing her face. She was beautiful, and he’d momentarily lost his ever-loving mind.

The person next to Chrissy had handed her the bottle they were using. Unlike with Spin the Bottle and kissing someone in the circle, with Seven Minutes in Heaven, they would go into the closet and shut the door. A couple stumbled out of it just as Chrissy was spinning. Sinclair didn’t know what he’d do if she landed on someone else. The bottle stopped in between him and the girl next to him.

Sinclair couldn’t stop looking at the bottle. There was a cough behind him, and he turned to see Tank in the doorway. “I declare Sin and Chrissy need to go to the closet.”

“What? Isn’t Chrissy supposed to re-spin?” Sinclair looked between Tank and Chrissy. He couldn’t tell if she was upset or not. She started to stand and looked a little green around the edges.

“I’m making the rules. Off with you!” Tank pointed to the closet.

Holly was beside Tank, and she was giggling. This is what Sinclair got for bringing Chrissy into this stupid room and for letting Tank get away with these dumb games. There were so many regrets in that moment, but he wasn’t going to let Chrissy stand there while he sat and contemplated all the mistakes he’d made in the last seconds of his life. He gulped and stood up. He held out his hand for Chrissy. The others in the room were whistling. It couldn’t be helped. It was that kind of game.

He led the way to the closet and let her go in first. He followed and closed the door behind them.

“I’m so sorry.” The closet wasn’t big, and they had to press together to avoid the clothes.

She smelled good. Her body fit right into his as if it belonged there—but it didn’t. She wasn’t his girlfriend. As a matter of fact, she probably still hated him. They might have been getting along, but that didn’t mean whatever grudge she had been holding against him was gone.

“It isn’t your fault. I could have not spun the bottle. Heck, I could have not even gone into the room.”

“It’s only for seven minutes.” He tried to steady his breathing but being this close to her was doing something to his body. He tried to lean his hips back because he was getting hard, and it would be noticeable if he got any closer.

Chrissy shifted and there was nothing he could do, she pressed tighter against him, and he just knew she was going to feel his erection.

“Oh my.” Chrissy’s voice was very breathy.

He couldn’t see her face in the dark closet. He could feel some of her movement, but that was it. The next thing he felt was her hand glancing over his cock.
